Ansar rescues missing child from Shahjalal and hands him over to relatives
Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force has safely handed over a six-year-old child who went missing from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport after verifying his identity and handing him over to his relatives. Due to the vigilance, humanity and quick action of the Ansar members on duty, the child was returned to his family within a short time.
Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force Deputy Director (Public Relations) Md. Ashiquzzaman confirmed the matter on Monday (July 27) afternoon. He said that at approximately 9:25 am this morning, Ansar member Md. Mizanur Rahman on duty saw Md. Abdullah Matabbar, the six-year-old son of Italian expatriate Mohammad Azizul Islam, crying without a guardian in the multi-storey car parking area of the airport.
Considering the child’s safety, he immediately took him into his custody. Later, the matter was reported to the shift-in-charge PC Md. When Nizam Uddin was informed, he arrived at the spot and started searching various places in the airport based on the information received from the child. At the same time, the child’s relatives were searched through miking. At one point, the child’s maternal uncle Md. Suman Matabbar was identified from the Canopy-2 area of the airport. Later, the child was taken to the DSO office and after proper identity verification, he was safely handed over to his maternal uncle in the presence of the authorities. After getting the child back, his relatives thanked the Ansar members.
