Jubo Dal leader hacked to death in Jessore
Jubodal leader Rubel Hossain (38) was allegedly hacked to death in Jessore’s Bagharpara by a former enemy.
The incident took place on Monday (July 13) at around 11:30 am in front of a vehicle weighing machine near the Khajura oil pump in Bagharpara upazila. The deceased Rubel Hossain is the joint secretary of Bandabila Union Jubo Dal in Bagharpara upazila. He is the son of Muntaz Dhali, a resident of a village near the Khajura oil pump in the Telidhanyopora area of the upazila.
According to local sources, Rabbi, son of Abdur Rab, of the same area, hacked Rubel Hossain with a sharp weapon in different parts of his body, seriously injuring him. Locals rescued the seriously injured Rubel and took him to the emergency department of Jessore General Hospital, where the doctor on duty declared him dead after an examination. The body has been kept in the hospital morgue for an autopsy.
It is learned that the accused rabbi is the brother-in-law of the younger sister of the deceased Rubel Hossain. Bagharpara Police Station OC Shahjalal Alam said that the body has been sent to the morgue for autopsy. An investigation is underway to uncover the cause and context of the murder. At the same time, multiple police teams are working to arrest the accused.
