ISU launches BSc Engineering program in AI and Data Science
In line with the growing demand of the technology-driven world, International Standard University (ISU) has launched a groundbreaking Bachelor of Science Engineering program in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (AI and Data Science) in Bangladesh. On June 24, the Bangladesh University Grants Commission (UGC) gave formal approval to run this educational program under the Faculty of Advanced Science and Computing.
The university authorities said that International Standard University has been conducting contemporary and work-oriented educational programs since its inception to ensure quality higher education at an affordable price. The aim of this educational program is to produce skilled engineers in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.
The emphasis will be on developing them to meet the needs of the country’s technology sector as well as the international job market. In addition, new opportunities will be created for students in the field of higher education and research.
The 152-credit program will teach various modern technology subjects including artificial intelligence, data science, machine learning, robotics and cybersecurity. There will also be opportunities to participate in research, lab-based learning and industry-related projects. The university authorities said that a system of concessions has also been introduced for students based on merit. It is worth noting that the university currently has 8 departments under 5 faculties. These include Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Masters of Business Administration (MBA) under the Faculty of Business Education, Computer Science and Engineering under the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Department of Textile Engineering and Apparel Merchandising and Management (AMM). And there are BA (Hons) in English, MA in English Literature and Cultural Studies and Bachelor of Law (LLB Hons) under the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
