Youth murdered by slitting throat in Mymensingh
A youth named Rajib Ahmed alias Rubel (40) was murdered by slitting throat from a rented house in Mymensingh Nagar. Police recovered his body from the rented house in the 36 Bari Colony area of the city at 2 pm today, Sunday (July 5).
Police have detained two people named Md. Roni and Sajal for questioning in this incident. The deceased Rajib Ahmed is the son of the deceased Abdul Hamid of RK Mission Road area of Rubel Nagar. According to police and family sources, Rubel Akua used to stay as a tenant in the house of Parul Akhter, wife of Ismail Hossain, a resident of 36 Bari Colony, about a month ago. He used to live here with his friends.
Rubel was murdered by slitting throat at around 10:30 am today. Earlier, a group of attackers set fire to a motorcycle belonging to Rubel’s cousin Md. Shuvo, who was on the road in front of the house. On receiving information, the police went to the spot and recovered Rubel’s bloody body from the bed. There was a bottle of liquor next to him. Police said that Rubel has multiple cases against him, including drug cases.
Upon receiving the information, District Superintendent of Police Mohammad Kamrul Hasan visited the scene. He said that the body has been recovered and sent to the morgue for autopsy. We have also received some information, based on which we have started the work of unraveling the mystery of the murder. The police have taken the two into custody for questioning.
