‘Locals want Hasnat to account for lampposts and other works like dates’

Why is Hasnat Abdullah not giving an account of the distribution of solar lampposts in his area, questioned Syed Saiful Islam, the central organizing secretary (Comilla division) of Bangladesh Chhatra Odhikar Parishad. He recently raised this question in a video message on his verified Facebook.
He urged Hasnat Abdullah to give an account of lampposts and other works like dates to the locals. In the video message, Syed Saiful Islam said that Hasnat Abdullah said that he did not commit corruption of a single taka, but if he can prove it, then he will resign from the parliament.
Hey brother, were the solar panels distributed in this Devdwar properly distributed or not? I will add a lot of evidence in the comment box of this video that in some areas, those solar panels are not in the specific place and even not in that ward. So where did those solar panels go? He said, I know that many influential people have installed those solar panels in front of their houses.
Many have installed them in single graveyards, family graveyards inside their houses. In many places, two lampposts have been given in front of many houses that need light. And in some areas, they are lying empty. Or whether some have been sold or not, only the leaders and workers of the NCP who are in charge of distribution know.
This leader of the Chhatra Odhikar Parishad said, now my Hasnat Abdullah brother was able to give the date account. Now why is he not giving the lamppost account in his area? Everyone is protesting on Facebook by posting about these issues. Many are appealing to the upazila administration. Then why are they not giving the lamppost account? Now if they say so, they will say that it was not my responsibility to distribute the lampposts. It was the upazila administration.
So at that time he was not supposed to give the date account. It was the upazila administration. He said, “Since Hasnat wants to take responsibility and keep corruption and irregularities to zero, then why isn’t he giving these accounts? Whether the roads or financial allocations are being done properly, whether the budget for repairs is being given, and whether those repairs are being carried out, remains to be seen.”
