ISKCON vice-president and spokesperson Radharaman Das has been relieved of all duties of the organization in Kolkata. He has also been instructed not to represent ISKCON in the media or in public. In a message on social media, Radharaman Das said that he respects and accepts the organization’s decision. At the same time, he said that he will not make any further statements on behalf of ISKCON in the future.
He claimed that speaking out about the allegations of atrocities against the Hindu community in Bangladesh, supporting Chinmoy Krishna Das, participating in a television talk show, sending a legal notice to Maneka Gandhi, cyber allegations and taking a public stand on Sanatan Dharma are some of the reasons for this decision.
According to Indian media reports, multiple sources in the organization have claimed that Radharaman Das’ public comments about Chinmoy Krishna Das in Bangladesh are one of the main reasons for the disciplinary action taken against him. However, no detailed official statement has been made by ISKCON in this regard yet. In his farewell message, Radharman Das expressed his gratitude to the devotees. At the same time, he wished ISKCON further success and prosperity. It is worth noting that former ISKCON leader Chinmoy Krishna Das was the main spokesperson of the Sammilita Sanatan Jagran Jote in Bangladesh. In November 2024, he was arrested from Dhaka’s Shahjalal International Airport on charges of sedition. Later, when he was produced in court, he was ordered to be sent to prison. The case is currently pending. After his arrest, the matter generated widespread discussion and various reactions across the country.
