India: Over 50,000 t of iron ore booked at Odisha-based auctions

Around 56,000 t of iron ore were booked at Odisha-based auctions on 27-29 June 2026. Around 152,000 t were on offer.

AM/NS: 16,000 t of lumps (5-18 mm, Fe 62.5%) were sold at INR 6,400/t (of 96,000 t offered) from Sagasahi mines; 8,000 t of tailings/residuals fines (Fe 52.82%) from Dubuna were booked at a base price of INR 1,500/t. Meanwhile, the complete offered quantity of 100,000 t of iron ore fines and CLO (Fe 57-61%) from Thakurani remained unsold on 29 June.
SAIL Bolani: The full quantity on offer was booked:12,000 t of CLO (10-40 mm, Fe 61.36%) were booked on 27 June, and 20,000 t of dump fines (Fe 60.65%) were sold at INR 5,300/t and INR 4,000/t, respectively, on 29 June 2026. In the last auction on 26 June, 20,000 t of dump fines (Fe 59.27%) were booked at INR 3,710/t.
Prices include royalty, NMEDT, DMF, and additional premium.
