Missing old man’s body recovered from pond

Police have recovered the body of a missing old man named Elias (75) from a pond in Satkania upazila. Locals informed the police after seeing his body floating in the pond.
The body was recovered from the pond in Ward No. 5 of Chadaha Union of the upazila around 11 am today, Monday (June 29). Family members said that the old man used to drink alcohol regularly and would occasionally leave the house.
He had not been found since he left the house a few days ago. Family members also tried to contact him by phone, but he could not be found. Locals recovered his body from the pond on Monday morning. Satkania Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Jahangir Alam said that the police went to the spot after receiving the information. Initially, no injury marks were found on his body.
