Dipu Moni, who is sick with severe allergies, returns to jail after treatment

Former minister Dr. Dipu Moni, who is incarcerated in Munshiganj District Jail, fell ill in jail and was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for treatment. The jail authorities said that he fell ill with severe allergies.
This Monday (June 29) morning, when he felt sick in jail, he was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital after completing the necessary formalities as per the jail rules. Doctors from the Medicine Department examined him there.
After reviewing some necessary test reports, the doctors gave him the prescribed medicines. As per the doctors’ advice, he did not need to be admitted to the hospital. After receiving primary treatment, he was brought back to Munshiganj District Jail under the guard of prison guards at around 10:30 am.
Munshiganj District Jail Jailer Md. Hashem Reza confirmed the incident and said that Dr. Dipu Moni fell ill with severe allergies. Later, he was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for treatment. He was sent back to prison as the doctors’ opinion did not require hospitalization. He is currently in prison.
