We have the right to defend Lebanon and its people: Hezbollah
Yesterday, Sunday (June 28), the occupying Israeli army carried out multiple attacks in various areas of southern Lebanon in violation of the ceasefire agreement. In a statement, the Iran-backed organization said that Hezbollah has the right to defend its country and people in this incident. Qatar-based media outlet Al Jazeera reported this information in a report.
Hezbollah claimed that Israeli warplanes attacked residential buildings in the southern city of Nabatiyah and the neighboring city of Mayfadun. In addition, Israeli drones attacked open areas in the city of Fraun and the Bint Jbeil district. At the same time, explosions targeted residential buildings in the areas of Taybeh and Haddatha.
Hezbollah said in a statement, “We are closely monitoring these violations of the ceasefire agreement. We have the right to defend our homeland and our people.’ Meanwhile, the memorandum of understanding signed between the United States and Iran states that the end of hostilities will be effective on all fronts, including Lebanon. However, Israel has intensified its attacks on Lebanon since early March.
