2 killed in microbus-motorcycle collision in Cox’s Bazar
Two motorcyclists were killed in a collision between a microbus and a motorcycle in Chakaria, Cox’s Bazar. Another person was injured in the incident. The accident occurred on the Chakaria-Pekua road in the Mahajerpara area of Baritlali union in Chakaria upazila on Sunday (June 28) morning.
The deceased were identified as Mohammad Mahbub and Mohammad Russell of Mahajerpara area. Another injured motorcyclist, Mohammad Shahed, is undergoing treatment at the hospital. Locals said that a Pekua-bound microbus hit the motorcycle as it entered the Chakaria-Pekua road. The motorcyclist, Mahbub, died on the spot.
Later, the other two injured were taken to the hospital, where the doctor declared Russell dead. Police said that the body has been sent to the hospital morgue and legal action will be taken in the incident.
