India: NMDC pig iron auction records 35% booking at INR 35,900/t
NMDC’s Nagarnar Steel Plant auctioned 12,000 t of steel-grade pig iron on 19 Jun’26, with 4,200 t booked at the base price of INR 35,900/t exw, reflecting a decline of INR 100/t from the previous auction on 10 Jun’26, where only 3,100 t was booked at INR 36,000/t. Despite the price reduction, buyer participation remained subdued, with nearly two-thirds of the offered quantity left unsold.
