Karnataka: Over 200,000 t of iron ore sold at NMDC auctions
NMDC auctioned 208,000 t of iron ore from its Kumaraswamy mines, Karnataka, on 18 Jun’26. The entire quantity was booked, with 84,000-t lumps (10-40 mm, Fe 61.01-62.84%) sold at INR 4,253-5,033/t (fetching premiums of INR 10-320/t) against a base price of INR 4,243-4,713/t. Meanwhile, 124,000-t fines (Fe 58.85-61.31%) were booked at INR 3,103-3,628/t against INR 3,103-3,618/t. Prices are exclusive of royalty, DMF, and NMEDT.
