Nepal: Prices remain stable amid cautious optimism
Nepal’s rebar prices remained stable w-o-w at NPR 79,000-81,000/t ($524-537/t) for cash guarantee deals, while bank guarantee transactions were heard at NPR 81,000-83,000/t ($537-550/t) amid cautious procurement. Weak construction demand continued to limit bulk purchases, although market participants anticipate an improvement in buying activity following the monsoon season.
Meanwhile, IF-EAF wire rod prices remained unchanged at around $540/t CNF Raxaul amid subdued demand.
