ICT Minister stands by the families of four killed in Tangail

Post, Telecommunication and Information Technology and Science and Technology Minister and local MP Fakir Mahbub Anam Swapan has stood by the families of four people who died while trying to rescue a child who fell into an abandoned well in Madhupur, Tangail. On Saturday (June 20), after the incident in Jolai village of the upazila, Upazila BNP President Zakir Hossain Sarkar inspected the scene on the instructions of the minister.
At that time, Madhupur Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Zubair Hossain and Madhupur Police Station OC Fazlul Haque were present on behalf of the administration. The minister provided financial assistance for the burial and funeral of the four deceased family members. This assistance was handed over to the representatives of the concerned families in the afternoon.
At that time, the minister expressed deep condolences to the bereaved families and assured them of being by their side in the future. It is worth noting that four members of the Garo community were killed while trying to rescue a goat that had fallen into an abandoned well in Jolai village of Madhupur upazila yesterday morning. The incident has cast a shadow of mourning over the area.
