Nepal rebar prices rise on seasonal stocking, while weak demand caps bulk buying
Nepal’s steel market sentiment remained cautiously positive as seasonal stocking pushed rebar prices up by NPR 2,000/t w-o-w to NPR 79,000-81,000/t ($611-625) for cash deals and NPR 81,000-83,000/t ($625-639) under bank guarantees. However, weak demand continued to restrict bulk buying, while IF-EAF wire rod prices remained stable at around $540/t CNF Raxaul.
