The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) tried to enter 11 people into Bangladesh through the Darshana border in Damurhudar, Chuadanga. However, the attempt was foiled by the BGB. This Sunday (June 14) at around 5 am, 11 people were tried to enter Bangladesh through the area near the main pillars 76-77 of the border at Darshana-Gerde. Among them, 8 were men and 3 were women.
According to the relevant sources, after the matter came to light, a BGB patrol team quickly reached the spot and released the people near the barbed wire fence of the border. No specific information was available about where they had taken up residence later.
In this context, Lieutenant Colonel Nazmul Hasan, Commander of BGB Chuadanga-6 Battalion, said, “BGB’s regular patrols, intelligence surveillance and operational activities are continuing to prevent any kind of unwanted activities on the border, including infiltration. It is worth noting that the BGB is maintaining day and night surveillance in the total 113-kilometer border area of Chuadanga and Meherpur districts under the responsibility of Chuadanga-6 Battalion.”
