Cricketer Naeem beaten and harassed in Chittagong under the identity of DB

National team cricketer Naeem Hasan has been accused of being beaten and harassed in Chittagong under the identity of DB. He said that the incident took place in front of the Lalkhan Bazar flyover in the city at around 11:30 pm on Friday (June 12).
It is learnt that Naeem Hasan had returned to his hometown Chittagong after playing in the Dhaka Premier League. He said that on his way home from the airport on CNG, he was forcibly taken out of his car and put in a police car and beaten.
The national team off-spinner alleged that he was first searched under the identity of DB, then one or two policemen in plain clothes started beating him. Naeem Hasan alleged that even after he identified himself, he was not spared from the harassment.
