Lebanese armed group claims responsibility for 14 attacks targeting Israeli troops
Al Jazeera reported that the country’s armed group (Hezbollah) has claimed responsibility for multiple attacks targeting Israeli forces in southern Lebanon. The group said that from Monday night (June 8) local time until Tuesday, it carried out drone, missile and rocket attacks targeting Israeli troops, armored vehicles and command posts.
In a statement, Hezbollah’s media cell said that Israeli troops and military vehicles were targeted multiple times in the Bayada, Rashaf, Al-Qawjah and Qantara areas of southern Lebanon. The group also claimed that two armored vehicles were destroyed in drone strikes in Jawtar al-Sharqiyah and Khayam.
Hezbollah also said it had intercepted an Israeli Hermes-450 drone with a surface-to-air missile in the Iqlim al-Tufah area and claimed to have attacked the Ras an-Naqura (Israeli name Rosh HaNikra) naval base with an explosive drone squadron.
