Jungle Selimpur terrorists will be identified and brought to justice: SP Masud

Chittagong Police Superintendent Masud Alam said, whoever the Jungle Selimpur terrorists are, whether Yasin, Rokon or anyone else – we will try to identify each one. Those behind this will also be identified and brought to justice. The joint forces are conducting a counter-operation after the terrorist attack on the joint forces camp in Jungle Selimpur, Sitakunda. He said these things at a briefing to journalists later today (May 25).
He also said that big financial interests are involved behind this. It is a matter of crores of taka. The empire under their control is now getting out of hand. It is natural for them to falter a little before the situation gets out of hand. SP Masud said, the law enforcement forces are on the ground to bring the situation under control and will take a stronger position going forward. We have no chance of retreating.
He added, “Our main objective is to maintain law and order here, to restore peace and order in this city, and to prevent the creation of another country within a country or another state within a state. We will do whatever is necessary for this.”
