Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed said that a chargesheet will be filed in court today in the rape and murder of child Ramisa in Mirpur in the capital. He said that a special court will be formed during the Eid holidays and the trial will be completed within 5 to 7 days. He said this at the BSRF dialogue at the Secretariat today, Sunday (May 24).
The Home Minister said that the accused gave a confessional statement in the court within a day. His wife’s name also appeared in that statement as his accomplice. Besides, he has also been arrested. He further said that we received the autopsy report yesterday. The work of compiling these and preparing the chargesheet will be completed by tomorrow night. It will be handed over to the court today.
The Home Minister said that rape incidents are happening due to social values ​​and bad culture. In the last three months, no accused has been acquitted in any rape case. Besides, the government is preparing a new law to strictly control gambling, online and offline gambling. This law will be raised in the next cabinet. At this time, he also said that Sheikh Hasina will be brought under legal process under the prisoner exchange agreement.
