Heavy rains expected in three divisions

The Meteorological Department has said that heavy rains are likely in three divisions of the country in the next 24 hours. In addition, there may be rain with thunder in all divisions of the country. This information was released in the weather forecast this Sunday (May 24) morning.
It said that due to the low pressure extending from West Bengal to the North Bay of Bengal, light to moderate rain or rain with thunder accompanied by temporary gusty winds and thundershowers may occur in many places of Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions, some places of Rajshahi, Dhaka and Chittagong divisions and one or two places of Khulna and Barisal divisions. In addition, there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rain in some places of Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions.
Regarding the heat wave, it has been said that a mild heat wave is blowing in Dhaka, Faridpur, Madaripur, Rajshahi, Pabna, Sirajganj, Chandpur, Lakshmipur and Patuakhali districts as well as Khulna division and it may continue. At the same time, daytime temperatures across the country may remain almost unchanged and nighttime temperatures may drop slightly.
