May 24, 2026: What is the price of 22-carat gold bars?
The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has decided to reduce the price of gold in the country’s market by Tk 2,158. In this, the price of 22-carat gold bars has been fixed at Tk 2,35,963.
BAJUS announced this information in a notification on Saturday (May 23) morning. The new price came into effect from 10 am that day. Earlier, on May 21, the price of good quality gold bars was increased by Tk 2,158. BAJUS said that the price of pure gold in the local market has decreased. As a result, the new price of gold has been determined considering the overall situation.
According to the new price, now the price of best quality or 22-carat gold has been reduced by Tk 2,158 to Tk 2,35,963. The price of a 21-carat gold bar has been reduced by Tk 2,099 to Tk 2,25,232. In addition, the new price of an 18-carat gold bar has been reduced by Tk 1,808 to Tk 1,93,039. And the price of an 18-carat gold bar has decreased by Tk 1,458 to Tk 1,57,231.
