Prime Minister to visit Mymensingh today

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is visiting Mymensingh today. He will participate in the 127th birth anniversary celebrations of national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam there. As per his previously announced itinerary, the Prime Minister will leave the capital Dhaka for Mymensingh at 9 am today, Saturday (May 23). He will visit Trishal in Mymensingh at 12 noon. There, he will inaugurate a canal excavation program to connect the Boiler Kanhar River.
Later, he will attend the main event of the birth anniversary of the national poet. In the afternoon, BNP Chairperson Tarique Rahman is scheduled to attend a meeting with party leaders and workers. Meanwhile, local BNP leaders and workers are excited about the Prime Minister’s visit. Law enforcement agencies have beefed up her security during her visit to Mymensingh.
