“Jamaat is extorting money using the name of Islam” — Rashed Khan

BNP leader Muhammad Rashed Khan has said that Jamaat’s Islam is not the same as real Islam. Jamaat-e-Islami is extorting money using the name of Islam. He said these things in a post on his Facebook account today, Sunday (May 17).
In the post, Rashed Khan said, ‘The way they are distorting Islam in front of people for the sake of power, sometimes it seems that Jamaat is willing to have relations with Israel for the sake of power! How can those who consider fasting and worship to be the same thing use the word Islam in the name of the party? Is Islam so cheap that it can be used as desired?’
He said, ‘I think that even thieves are afraid to steal by wearing a cap, but Jamaat people do not stop lying even while wearing the Sunnah of Jamaat.’ I did not understand why many scholars and students of Qaumi Madrasa criticize Jamaat-Shibir, but now I understand! Thank you to the Islamic Movement Bangladesh for catching the hypocrisy of Jamaat at the last minute and not joining the alliance with Jamaat.’
The BNP leader who left the People’s Rights Council said, ‘The way Jamaat is weakening Islam in the name of tactics, being in alliance with them is a sin! I am surprised, how can the Ameer of Jamaat continue to lie under the mask of Noorani? Yesterday he said, everyone in the front of BNP is extortionist! Can everyone in a party be extortionist? Yet for Jamaat leaders, donations to the Baitul Mal are more important than his wife’s treatment! In this way, Jamaat-e-Islami is defaming Islam and extorting money!’
