29 hospitalized due to dengue, no deaths

In the last 24 hours, 29 new dengue patients have been admitted to various hospitals in the country. However, no one has died of dengue during this time. This information was given in a press release sent by the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services on Monday (May 11).
The release said that among the new infected people, there are eight in Barisal division (outside the City Corporation), five in Chittagong division, five in Dhaka division, one in Dhaka North City Corporation, five in Dhaka South City Corporation, three in Khulna division, one in Mymensingh division and one in Rajshahi division.
Meanwhile, 49 dengue patients have recovered and been discharged from the hospital in the last 24 hours. As of May 11 this year, a total of 2,717 people have been infected with dengue in the country. Of these, 62.7 percent are men and 37.3 percent are women. At the same time, 2,614 people have been discharged from the hospital. According to the Department of Health, five people have died of dengue so far this year.
On the other hand, in 2025, a total of 102,861 people were infected with dengue in the country and 413 died. In 2024, 101,214 people were infected and 575 died. In addition, in 2023, 321,179 people were hospitalized due to dengue and 1,705 died.
