The Meteorological Department has said that there is a possibility of gusty winds at a speed of 60 kilometers per hour in 8 districts of the central and southeastern parts of the country. In addition, there is a risk of rain or thundershowers. This information has been given in the warning issued by the Meteorological Department for the country’s inland river ports until 1 pm today, Monday (May 4).
It said that temporary gusts or squalls may blow from the west or northwest at a speed of 45 to 60 kilometers per hour over Mymensingh, Dhaka, Faridpur, Barisal, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong and Sylhet districts. There is a risk of rain or thundershowers during this time. River ports in these areas have been instructed to display warning signal number 1.
Meanwhile, another bulletin of the Meteorological Department said that light to moderate rain or rain with thunder accompanied by gusty or gusty winds and thunder is predicted in all divisions of the country in the next few days. In addition, moderate to heavy rain may occur in some places. The highest temperature in the country in the last 24 hours was recorded in Khulna at 34 degrees Celsius. On the other hand, the lowest temperature was recorded in Sylhet at 18.4 degrees Celsius. At the same time, the highest rainfall of 127 mm was recorded in Hatia.
