The report said that Lavrov expressed this position in a recent telephone conversation between the foreign ministers of the two countries. During the conversation, the Russian Foreign Minister said that Russia is ready to provide any necessary assistance to end the ongoing conflict against Iran and establish ‘lasting peace’ in the region. At that time, the two sides also discussed the recent situation in the Middle East and international issues.
