Youth killed in road accident while stealing motorcycle in Jhenaidah
A youth was killed after being hit by a microbus while stealing a motorcycle in Jhenaidah. The accident occurred in the Nagarbathan area of Sadar Upazila on Sunday (May 3) night. Police and locals said that Masud Hossain, son of Atiar Rahman of Sadhuhati village in Sadar Upazila, was stealing a motorcycle from a youth named Russell of Pagalkanai area of Jhenaidah town around 8 pm.
On the way, when he reached the Nagarbathan area of the Jhenaidah-Chuadanga highway, he had a head-on collision with a microbus coming from the opposite direction. Masud fell on the road and died on the spot.
Upon receiving information, the fire brigade recovered the body from the scene and sent it to the Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. Highway Police Station OC Jahanur Hossain said that the body has been recovered and sent to the morgue. The motorcycle has also been recovered. A case is under process at the police station.
