Nepal: Rebar prices weaken amid sluggish demand
Nepals rebar prices fell by NPR 3,000/t ($19/t) w-o-w to NPR 86,000-88,000/t ($566-579/t) for cash deals, while bank guarantee transactions stood at NPR 88,000-90,000/t ($579-592/t). Market sentiment remained cautious amid weak construction demand and slow buying activity. However, IF-EAF wire rod prices remained stable around $550/t CNF Raxaul, supported by balanced regional demand-supply conditions.
