After reducing the price four times in a row, the Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has decided to increase the price of gold in the country’s market. This time, the organization has increased the price of a 22-carat gold bar by Tk 2,158 to Tk 2,42,495,000. In a press release, BAJUS said that the new price came into effect from 7 pm last Thursday (April 30). Gold will be sold at this price today, Sunday (May 3).
The press release said that the price of pure gold has increased in the local market. As a result, the new price of gold has been determined considering the overall situation. Earlier, the price of gold was reduced at 10 am on April 30. At that time, the price of a 22-carat gold bar was Tk 2,40,337. BAJUS has adjusted the price of gold a total of 60 times this year.
