The fate of ordinary workers has not changed despite the change in leaders over the ages, Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has alleged. He made this allegation at a rally organized by the Workers Welfare Federation at Baitul Mukarram South Gate at 3 pm on Friday (May 1).
The Jamaat Ameer said that the leftists struggle with the workers, no matter what issue comes to the fore. Then, when the movement gains momentum, they are satisfied with their share. As a result, the fate of ordinary workers has not changed despite the change in the fate of leaders over the ages.
He said that even though everyone talks about workers’ rights throughout the year, they forget about it during implementation. Real development is not possible without the development of workers. Besides, the progress of the industrial sector is possible only through the development of the owner-worker relationship, so he called for giving utmost importance to this relationship.
Dr. Shafiqur Rahman also alleged that along with domestic workers, expatriates are also victims of extreme neglect and deprivation. Although embassies are responsible for ensuring the rights of remittance fighters, in many cases their activities are exacerbating the suffering of expatriates.
