Missing schoolgirl’s body recovered from Kalabagan after 6 days

Police have recovered the body of a schoolgirl named Erin Akhter (7) from Kalabagan next to the railway line, six days after she went missing in Faridpur. The incident took place on Thursday (April 30) morning in Kafura area of ​​Gerda union in Sadar upazila of the district.
The deceased Erin was the daughter of rickshaw puller Baka Mia, a resident of Bukail Ashrayan project in Gerda union, and a student of the children’s class of Bukail Government Primary School. According to police and local sources, Erin had been missing since she left home around 8 pm last Friday (April 24). Later, when relatives searched for her at various places, her father filed a general diary (GD) with the Kotwali police station.
This morning, locals found the child’s body in a Kalabagan in Kafura area after smelling a foul smell from the railway line and informed the police. Later, the police recovered the body from the spot. Kotwali Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Shahidul Islam said the child’s body was decomposed. The real cause of death will be known after the autopsy. Legal action is being taken in this incident.
