EU Representative Meets Foreign Affairs Advisor

Eric Kurzweil, Managing Director for Asia and the Pacific of the European Union External Action Service (EEAS), paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s Foreign Affairs Advisor Humayun Kabir. The meeting was held at the Prime Minister’s Tejgaon office today (April 30). The meeting was attended by European Union Ambassador to Bangladesh Michael Miller.
The meeting discussed bilateral relations, trade and investment, development cooperation, and regional and global issues of mutual interest between Bangladesh and the European Union. Both sides expressed their interest in further strengthening the existing relations and expanding multidimensional cooperation.
The meeting also discussed the strengthening of the Comprehensive Partnership Agreement between the European Union (EU) and Bangladesh and the recent political situation in Bangladesh. During the meeting, Advisor Humayun Kabir emphasized on deepening and making Bangladesh-EU relations more effective. In addition, the European Union commends Bangladesh’s development progress and assures continued cooperation in the future.
