Confused by Trump’s false promises: Russian Foreign Minister

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Iran has been confused by (the US) false assurances. He alleged that Iran has been threatened and various promises have been made, but no real issues have been discussed.
According to Lavrov, Iran has fallen into the trap of US promises. Although various statements and promises have been made in the Iran-US talks, they have no real basis. He added that Iran’s position is logical, as they have faced such assurances before.
He said that Russia is monitoring the progress of possible talks between Iran and the US to be held in Pakistan. According to him, the situation can change many times in 24 hours. The Foreign Minister also said that if Iran and the US can reach an agreement similar to the 2015 agreement, it will be considered a major success.
