Second pilot finally rescued from Iran
US President Donald Trump has announced the rescue of the second pilot of an F-15E fighter jet that was shot down in Iran. He claimed that the incident was one of the ‘courageous and adventurous’ rescue operations in US history.
This information was broadcast live on Qatar-based media Al Jazeera on Sunday (April 5). Trump wrote on social media, ‘Dear American citizens, we have found him. In the last few hours, the US military has conducted one of the most courageous search and rescue operations in their history.’
He also wrote, ‘This operation was to rescue one of our extraordinary crew members, who is also a highly respected colonel. I am very happy to report that he is now completely safe and well.’
However, Trump said that the rescued pilot suffered minor injuries. He said, ‘US forces were monitoring the rescue operation for the pilot for 24 hours. Dozens of fighter jets were sent to rescue him. These warplanes were the deadliest weapons in the world.’ Trump revealed a surprising fact in his message. He said that the first pilot was successfully rescued yesterday. But the matter was kept secret at the time so that the second rescue operation would not be disrupted in any way.
He claimed that it is a rare event in military history that two pilots have been brought back alive after two separate successful rescue operations deep in enemy territory.
Referring to the success of this operation, Trump claimed that Iran is now under complete control of the US Air Force. He said, ‘We have completed these two difficult operations without the loss of a single American soldier’s life or injury. This proves that our absolute dominance and superiority in the skies of Iran has been established.’
Earlier, after a US warplane was shot down in Iranian airspace last Friday, the US forces began searching for the missing crew. US special forces entered Iran on Friday night to rescue the crew.
On the other hand, Iran also launched a massive search operation to find the missing American pilot. Iran has announced a large reward for his identification. However, according to the latest news, US forces have safely rescued the pilot from Iran.
