Garment workers protest by blocking Tejgaon Link Road

Garment workers of NASA Group have blocked Tejgaon Link Road in the capital demanding salaries. This stopped traffic on that route for some time. However, the police said that the situation is now normal. This information was given by the traffic police of Gulshan zone of Dhaka metropolis.
Police said that after 10 am, about 700/800 garment workers of NASA Group started protesting by blocking the road at the entrance of Tejgaon Link Road between Mohakhali and Nabisco demanding salaries. This stopped traffic on the Tejgaon to Mohakhali-Uttara and Uttara to Mohakhali-Tejgaon routes. Later, around 11 am, the protesters left the road.
Traffic police have requested people to follow alternative routes to avoid inconvenience. They said that the flyover road can be used for travel on the Uttara-Mohakali route. You can go to Tejgaon from Uttara/Gulshan/Banani using the Mohakhali flyover.
Alternatively, you can go to Rampura, Hatirjheel via Notun Bazar/Gulshan-1 via Kakli left turn-Kamal Ataturk Road-Gulshan-2. The same can be done from the opposite direction.
