Fire at gas lighter factory in Kadamtali: 6 bodies recovered

Six bodies have been recovered in a fire at a gas lighter factory in Kadamtali, Keraniganj, Dhaka. Relatives allege that many are still missing. The Fire Service conducted a rescue operation throughout the night on Saturday (April 4). The rescue operation will continue today as well.
Fire Service Deputy Assistant Director Kamrul Hasan said that the operation has been completed in 70 percent of the places. Relatives are waiting in front of the burnt factory, claiming that many workers are missing. The Fire Service is checking the attendance list of the factory. Rescue work will be carried out today as well. Earlier, a fire broke out at the lighter factory around 12 noon yesterday. The Fire Service brought the fire under control after about two and a half hours of effort.
