Air ambulance carrying Mirza Abbas leaves for Singapore

The air ambulance carrying Mirza Abbas, political advisor to the Prime Minister and member of the BNP standing committee, has left for Singapore for better treatment. The air ambulance carrying him left for Singapore at 11:20 am today, Sunday (March 15).
Mirza Abbas will be admitted to the Singapore General Hospital in Singapore. Mirza Abbas’s wife Afroza Abbas, elder son Yasir Abbas and Evercare Hospital doctor Dr. Zafar Iqbal accompanied him on the journey. He is being taken abroad on the advice of the medical board. However, it is not possible to say that he is out of danger right now. BNP Health Secretary Dr. Rafiqul Islam told the media this morning.
He also said that all primary treatment has been provided at Evercare. He also said that it will be possible to provide him with better treatment in Singapore. Earlier, Mirza Abbas was kept under close observation after undergoing two rounds of brain surgery last Friday. His brain CT scan was done on Saturday morning and the medical board said the test results came back positive. Mirza Abbas was admitted to Evercare Hospital after he fell ill and lost consciousness during Iftar on Wednesday. The BNP leader was then scheduled to be taken to Singapore for advanced treatment on Friday (March 13) evening. However, as his condition deteriorated, the decision was taken to perform the surgery in the country.
