Mirza Abbas undergoes second round of brain surgery
BNP standing committee member Mirza Abbas, who is undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka, has undergone a second round of brain surgery. The doctors on duty have confirmed that his surgery was successful.
The BNP leader was supposed to be taken to Singapore yesterday (March 13) evening for better treatment. However, when his physical condition deteriorated, a decision was made to have the surgery in the country. He was taken to the operation theater after 3 pm. His first round of surgery was completed before evening. After that, he was kept under close observation. He underwent a second round of surgery again in the evening.
Earlier, after prayers yesterday, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman visited Evercare Hospital. The medical board briefed him in detail.
The medical board formed for the treatment of the BNP leader includes Professor Ali Uzzaman Joarder, Professor Kazi Din Mohammad, Professor Shahabuddin Talukder, Professor Raziul Haque, Syed Professor Saeed Ahmed, Professor Quader Sheikh, Professor Shafiqul Islam and doctors from Evercare Hospital.
