India: SAIL records best-ever sales during Apr-Feb FY’26, restarts chequered plate production
Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) recorded a 14% y-o-y increase in sales to 18.24 mnt during Apr-Feb FY’26, its highest-ever sales volume. Meanwhile, in Feb’26, sales stood at 1.58 mnt, and the company also reduced inventory by 0.1 mnt as against Jan’26, reduced borrowings by INR 1,000 crores, and resumed chequered plate production at Bokaro Steel Plant to meet rising sectoral demand.
