Iran launches massive drone and missile attack on US air base in Bahrain
Iran has launched a massive drone and missile attack on a US air base in the Sheikh Issa area of Bahrain. The country’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed this. The IRGC said that 20 drones and three missiles were used in the attack on Tuesday (March 3).
They claim that the main command and headquarters building of the air base was destroyed and a fuel tank was set on fire. However, there was no immediate comment from Bahrain on the incident.
Incidentally, the United States and the occupying power Israel launched a joint attack on Iran last Saturday (February 28). The country’s media confirmed that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in the attack. Since then, Tehran has been targeting US infrastructure and bases in Saudi Arabia in retaliation.
