Mosque khatib stabbed to death by rival in Bogra

A mosque khatib named Saiful Islam was stabbed to death by rival in Bogra over the issue of land boundary demarcation. The incident took place in the city’s Mahbubnagar area on Sunday (March 1) morning.
Police said that while trying to demarcate the land boundary, the nephew of the former owner of the land, Vikram, along with a group of people, stabbed Saiful Islam repeatedly. Later, he was first admitted to Bogra Hospital in a serious condition. When his condition deteriorated there, he died on the way to Dhaka Medical College Hospital around 8 pm.
He was the khatib of a local mosque and the responsible leader of the Ulema Department of Nagar Jamaat. It is worth noting that two people named Mehedi and Mustakim have been arrested in this incident.
