Subhashree is stranded in Dubai with her son
Popular Tollywood actress Subhashree Gangopadhyay is stranded in Dubai amid the war situation in the Middle East due to the Iran-Israel conflict. Her younger son Yuvan is with her. After the news of his daughter and grandson being stranded abroad spread, Subhashree’s family and fans are extremely worried.
Subhashree’s father Devaprasad Gangopadhyay told the media that a bomb attack took place near the hotel in Dubai where his daughter and grandson are staying. He spoke to his daughter yesterday (March 1) afternoon. Subhashree said that although they are safe for now, a loud explosion was heard nearby. They are trying to move from the hotel to another safe place, thinking about their safety.
Subhashree had planned to travel to Dubai after Yuvan’s school exams were over. Director and MLA Swami Raj Chakraborty could not accompany them due to his busy schedule. The mother and son reached Dubai last Saturday. Although they were supposed to return home on March 5, there is extreme uncertainty about whether the flight will operate in the current tense situation.
The Middle East airspace and several airports have been temporarily closed due to the Iran-Israel conflict. Hundreds of domestic and foreign tourists have been affected by this situation.
Subhasree’s father said that although there has been no direct communication from the administration so far, they are monitoring the situation. Subhasree is not alone, she has some friends with her. Although Subhasree has urged her family not to worry, the intensity of the war situation and the disruption of air travel have raised questions about her speedy return home.
