Nepal rebar prices rise as higher raw material costs and production cuts tighten supply
Nepals rebar prices increased by NPR 2,500/t ($17/t) w-o-w to NPR 77,000-79,000/t for cash guarantee sales and NPR 79,000-81,000/t for bank guarantee transactions. The rise was driven by higher raw material costs and production cuts at most mills. Meanwhile, IF-EAF wire rod offers edged up by $5/t to around $530/t CNF Raxaul, reflecting firm cost-side pressure.
