9 UITS student projects showcased at Digital Device and Innovation Expo 2026
The Digital Device and Innovation Expo was held at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center in the capital from January 28 to 31, 2026. Known as the largest technology exhibition in Bangladesh, the four-day event was jointly organized by the Information and Communication Technology Division, Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority (BHTPA) and Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS). The expo reflected the country’s ongoing digital transformation and technology-driven development by showcasing technology-driven innovations, modern digital solutions and future-oriented technologies. The Innovation Hub, the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS), said that a total of 9 projects developed by their students have been selected to be showcased in the Innovation Zone of the expo. A total of 39 projects from various public and private universities across the country were showcased in this innovation zone, showcasing the creativity and problem-solving abilities of young innovators. The expo showcased top student innovations as well as solutions from local and international technology companies, further showcasing Bangladesh’s growing digital capabilities and innovation-driven ecosystem.

UITS_Cloud Drone (Emergency Response System for Natural Disasters),
UITS_Scrap Venture (Today’s Scrap, Tomorrow’s Sustainable Solution),
UITS_Sound Vision (Smart Assistive Device for the Visually Impaired),
UITS_Heliostove (Solar Powered Hybrid Cooking System),
UITS_Hawkeye Surveillance,
and UITS_Auto Trace AI (CamScanner-Based Solution for Accidental Vehicle Identification).
