Baltic dry index falls over 2% d-o-d
The Baltic Dry Index declined by 2.33% (42 points) d-o-d on 22 Jan, pressured mainly by a sharp correction in the Capesize segment, as softer iron ore demand, increased vessel availability, and limited fresh cargo inquiries weighed on sentiment offsetting increase in smaller vessel segments.

- Capesize: BCI dropped 5.23% (143 points) to 2,589.
- Panamax: BPI rose by 0.5% (8 points) to 1,614.
- Supramax: BSI up 2.31% (23 points) to 1,019.
