Nepal: Rebar prices rose by NPR 1,500/t ($10) w-o-w
Nepals rebar prices rose by NPR 1,500/t ($1/t) w-o-w to NPR 75,000-77,000/t ($516-530/t) for cash guarantee sales and NPR 77,000-79,000/t ($530-543/t) for bank guarantee transactions in the week ended 16 Jan. Market participants expect that prices may gradually move upward in the coming weeks amid improving demand and tighter supply conditions. Meanwhile, wire rod (IF-EAF) offers rose by $39/t, reaching around $530/t CNF Raxaul.
