Iran: Billet prices rise 1% compared to 17 Dec’25
- Iran’s billet prices rose by 2,500 rial/kg ($6/t, 0.7%) to 386,000 rials/kg ($919/t) on 22 Dec, while rebar prices fell by 5,000 rial/kg ($12/t, 1%) to 480,000 rials/kg ($1,142/t).
- The domestic market turned cautious amid unconfirmed reports of ending subsidised forex rates and shifting trades to NIMA’s (Iran’s official foreign exchange platform) Second Hall, linked to proposed gas feedstock pricing reforms from March 2026.
