US: RMDAS ferrous scrap index rises across grades in Dec’25
The RMDAS ferrous scrap index, which reflects spot prices for steel mills and foundries in the US, rose across all grades in Dec’25. The index showed the following price changes compared with 21 Nov:
- Shredded scrap prices rose by $23/t m-o-m to $394/t (+6.1%).
- Prompt industrial composite scrap prices increased by $14/t to $417/t (+3.5%).
- HMS prices rise by $20/t to $353/t (+6%).
